How LUZZme was born
LUZZme was founded in 2011.
It is a project by Patrícia Esquível born from the desire to illuminate interiors. Starting with the creation of individualized objects, more recently LUZZme has extended the concept of light to Interior Design. This is how several holiday flats came to be, designed as illuminated objects as a whole.
Patrícia Esquível holds a PhD in Art Theory (Sorbonne-Paris) and was for many years a researcher in the areas of Art History and Theory. In 2011 she wanted to change her life and do some more creative work. She founded the company LUZZme to make known the "illuminated" objects she made until then as a hobby. Nowadays she is dedicated to Interior Design and seeks to create original and welcoming environments for holiday apartments.

LUZZme Casa das Doze Ribeiras
Terceira Island
Traditional country house restored in 2023. It has a one-bedroom flat, a studio and a garden. The interior design of the main flat was inspired by the Thonet chairs created at the end of the 19th century. Both flats have extraordinary views of the sea and the village of Doze Ribeiras. The house faces a small stream, has total privacy and complete insertion in nature. If you like peace and quiet, this is the ideal house.
LUZZme Casa de Angra
Terceira Island
Traditional house rehabilitated in 2018, consisting of three apartments, with contemporary and comfortable décor. It has a one-bedroom apartment with a patio on the ground floor and two studios on the first floor.
The main theme is Ana Esquível's photographs from the 1980s, large black and white prints of people and places in the Azores.
A 5-minute walk from the center of Angra.
LUZZme Casas de Santa Bárbara
A group of rustic houses renovated in 2019/20, giving rise to five modern studios of different sizes and capacities. The solid wood furniture and lamps brought from Bali made it possible to create an informal atmosphere that is both refined and cosy. In the central area of the land, there is a porch and a common area where you can have meals and relax in the open air. Ideal for those who like peace and quiet.

Typical Algarvian house renovated in 2018 with local materials.
The house has two independent flats, a one-bedroom flat on the ground floor and a studio on the first floor. It is located in the heart of the village, in a quiet street, close to the main square, the main cafés and restaurants, the beach-river and the boats to the beach-sea.
Ideal for a quiet holiday and for those who don't like to use the car.

LUZZme was created to illuminate interiors. Table, wall, ceiling or floor lamps, illuminated panels, placemats or centrepieces are all objects in which light and colour converge to warm up and make environments more welcoming.
LUZZme was born to illuminate interior spaces, but also people. Giving everyone the chance to radiate their own light by exploring the application of LED in the field of jewellery was another of its challenges.
